2024 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

CRITERIA CONSIDERED:  (Listed in order of importance.)

1.  Financial need.

2.  Scholarship achievement.

3.  Participation in sorority activities.

4.  Participation in extra curricular activities (on and off campus).

 

 

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR A
HOUSTON ALUMNAE PANHELLENIC FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP?

TO QUALIFY, APPLICANT MUST BE:  (Both at the time of application and during the academic year for which the scholarship is awarded)

  • Active member of a sorority belonging to the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) at time of application.  You must also be an active member of your (undergraduate) collegiate sorority chapter the following semester. 

    (See "NPC Sororities" menu for a list of the 26 sororities belonging to the NPC.)

  • Full-time undergraduate student in accordance with the applicant's university (enrolled in 12 hours or more) at any accredited U.S. college or university at the time of application.  You must also be a full-time undergraduate student the following semester.

    (OFFICIAL College Transcript required)

  • Applicant graduated from a high school located in Harris County, or from a high school in one of these contiguous counties:  Brazoria County, Chambers County, Fort Bend County, Galveston County, Liberty County, Montgomery County, and Waller County.

     (OFFICIAL High School Transcript required.  High School Transcript must indicate graduation from a high school in one of the eight counties listed above.)

 

 

HAPF EXCEEDS ONE MILLION MARK IN SCHOLARSHIP MONEY AWARDED!

Since its inception in 1987, the HAPF Scholarship Fund has awarded scholarships to 645 women,
totaling $1,202,700.00, enrolled in accredited colleges and universities across the country. 
$66,100 was awarded to 21 collegians in May of 2022. 

Often this financial aid makes the difference for many young women,
enabling them to continue their college education.

The range of scholarships to be awarded is between $2,000 and $5,000.

 In 2022:

·      $66,100 was awarded to 21 deserving sorority members.

·      14 sororities were represented.

·      6 Texas universities were represented.

·      5 out-of-state universities were represented.

·      5 of these recipients were repeat winners.
