Betty Chapman - well-known local Historian and Lecturer

Remarkable Houston women, some famous and some "invisible", who left an indelible mark on our city from our parks, the visual and performing arts, science, education, and social services. 
Their philanthropy, foresight, and inspiring leadership, helped shape Houston into the world-class city it is today.

J.P. Bryan - Founder and Owner of The Bryan Museum

The Bryan Museum in Galveston, Texas, houses one of the world's largest collections of historical artifacts, documents, rare books, antique maps, fine arts, portraits, and everyday objects relating to Texas and the American West; an extraordinary collection comprised of over 70,000 objects spanning more than 12,000 years.

"The Enduring Legacy of Buffalo Bayou"

Anne Olson - President of the Buffalo Bayou Partnership

From the tranquil waterway that was the site of Houston's founding in 1836, Buffalo Bayou has been sensitively transformed into a major destination for outdoor recreation such as canoeing, kayaking, hiking, and biking.
At the same time, maintaining its incredibly diverse co-system supporting dozens of native species of flora and fauna.  This has been an extensive $58 million restoration project.

"Exploring the Intriguing History of Chappell Hill"

Christine Hoffman - Director of the Chappell Hill Historical Society Museum

The Chappell Hill Historical Society are the guardians of hundreds of photos, documents, and artifacts, chronicling the life of the small town from its humble beginnings in 1847, to the present day.
Its rich history includes the story of the first Female College, King Cotton, the Brazos River, the Polish community, and the War-Between-the-States.
Theirs is a story of a town once destined for greatness but diminished by the ill fortunes of fate and history.
